Center of Excellence Smart and Green Building Information (CoE SAGEBIM)
CoE SAGEBIM derives its name from the term “Sage,” which refers to a spiritual and philosophical guide renowned for profound wisdom. This term reflects the role of CoE SAGEBIM as a center for guidance and excellence in knowledge development. CoE SAGEBIM supports the institutional roadmap of Universitas Gadjah Mada as well as national government programs in infrastructure development.
The primary focus of CoE SAGEBIM is the application of technological innovation in the construction industry, particularly through a development framework aimed at promoting sustainable construction practices. In this context, CoE SAGEBIM supports research activities, practical training, and student programs through the implementation of the Teaching Factory (TEFA) concept.

Products and Services
Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS) and 3D Modeling Services
This service provides object scanning using the Leica RTC360 TLS to obtain high-accuracy 3D spatial data. The outputs include 3D point cloud data for 3D modeling, existing building documentation, and further technical analysis.
GNSS RTK Area Mapping and Survey Services
Surveying and mapping solutions using the Trimble R8s GNSS receiver with RTK technology for high coordinate accuracy. Suitable for topographic surveys, detailed mapping, and boundary determination.
RTK Mapping Drone Rental Services
Rental of the DJI Phantom 4 RTK drone, supported by the D-RTK 2 Mobile Station, for high-precision aerial mapping activities. Enables real-time positional data acquisition with high accuracy.
Building Information Modeling (BIM) Training Based on Existing Data
Provides conceptual understanding and technical skills in BIM implementation based on existing condition data using point cloud workflows and supporting software like Leica Cyclone, Autodesk Revit, and Civil 3D.
WebGIS + BIM
A BIM-based model that integrates building information with GIS technology via the internet, focusing on the digital preservation of Cultural Heritage buildings for accessible micro- and macro-scale management.
Facilities
1. Terrestrial Laser Scanner Leica RTC360
A portable 3D laser scanning device designed to rapidly capture real-world conditions as point cloud data. Features a scanning speed of up to 1 million points per second and an advanced HDR imaging system.
2. GNSS Trimble R8s
A professional GNSS receiver delivering high flexibility and accuracy. Equipped with Trimble 360 technology and dual Maxwell™ 6 chips, it can track up to 440 channels from multiple global satellite systems.
3. DJI Phantom 4 RTK Drone & D-RTK 2
A professional mapping drone with an integrated RTK module, enabling centimeter-level positional accuracy. The D-RTK 2 Mobile Station functions as its base station for real-time positional correction data.
4. Computer Laboratory (16 Units)
A total of 16 computer units with specifications of 16 GB RAM and XXXX CPUs are available to support research activities, student final projects, and training programs.
5. Leica Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS Software
Point cloud processing software used to register and filter data acquired from the Leica RTC360 TLS, generating outputs in formats like LGSx, RCP, E57/PTX/PTG, and TruView.
6. Agisoft Metashape Software
Photogrammetry software used to process digital images and generate 3D spatial data for cultural heritage documentation, visual effects production, and GIS applications.
7. TEKLA Structures Software
BIM software focused on concrete structures, steel structures, and fabrication. Supports structural modeling and produces automatic shop drawings for fabrication processes.
