Friday (20/5) – the Asia Pacific Women’s Information Network Center (APWINC), appointed as the UNESCO Chair in Communication Technology for Women, successfully held the ‘Kick-off Workshop’ of the R&D team on “Enhancing Digital Economy Participation for ASEAN Women Micro-, Small-, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs)” project through a virtual conference, and in this project, one of the Vocational College UGM Lecturers, Mrs. Fani Pramuditya, S.E., M.B.A., is part of the team.

The APWINC was approved as the implementing agency last year for the 5-year project “Enhancing Digital Economy Participation for ASEAN Women MSMEs (2022-2026)” by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (ROK) and the ASEAN-ROK Cooperation Fund (AKCF). The project will benefit 14 local implementing institutions, 200 local trainers, and 4,002 female MSMEs in ASEAN. ASEAN women entrepreneurs would build capacity for using ICTs and online business platforms through the project. 

The APWINC initiated the project in 2022 and held the first Steering Committee meeting in March. The R&D team was launched in May with 12 experts in the fields of digital economy and e-Business. The R&D team consisted of 10 local consultants selected from 10 ASEAN countries and 2 Korean consultants. 

A total of 22 participations attended including consultants from 11 countries – Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Republic of Korea – as well as the ASEAN Secretariat and the ASEAN-Korea Programme Management Team (AKPMT) of ASEAN-Korean Cooperation Fund (AKCF).

The R&D team will develop training courses to revitalize the e-business in ASEAN by identifying the current status and needs of the digital economy and e-business fields of 10 ASEAN countries. In addition, the team will promote joint research to find solutions that can improve the participation of ASEAN women in the digital economy. Based on the preliminary research result, the e-Business Training Toolkit will be developed by the end of this year.

The conference began with opening remarks made by Mr. Jaehwan Kwon, team leader and representative of AKPMT, and he expressed his belief that this project reflects the commitments made by both ASEAN and the Republic of Korea to achieve women empowerment, especially in the field of MSMEs by helping them make use of and benefit from the digital economy and e-commerce. He concluded his welcoming remark by emphasizing the hope of cultivating a sense of community building between ASEAN – Korea and the AKPMT’s support for a successful implementation of this project.

 In the second welcoming remark, Dr. Jungin Jo, the executive director of the APWINC, emphasized strong hopes for achieving the key objectives of this project, (1) to enhance ASEAN MSMEs empowerment based on practical digital business skills for ASEAN women, (2) to help revitalize the ASEAN economy, and (3) to strengthen the ties of friendship between South Korea and ASEAN. She concluded her remark by expressing her hope for in-depth collaboration and proactive engagement from all stakeholders.

In addition, the APWINC plans to hold the first Project Working Committee meeting this September, and has a ‘Training Toolkit Development Workshop’ in one of the ASEAN countries in November 2022.

Jumat, (20/5) – Asia Pacific Women’s Information Network Center(APWINC), ditunjuk sebagai Ketua UNESCO dalam Teknologi Komunikasi untuk Wanita, sukses menggelar ‘Kick-off Workshop’ tim R&D tentang “Enhancing Digital Economy Participation for ASEAN Women Micro, Small, and Medium-Size Enterprises (UMKM)” melalui konferensi virtual, dan dalam kesempatan ini, salah satu Dosen SV UGM yaitu Ibu Fani Pramuditya, S.E., M.B.A., dari Departemen Ekonomika dan Bisnis SV UGM, tergabung dalam tim tersebut.

Yogyakarta (20/5) – Sekolah Vokasi UGM  dan IBEC (Indonesia-Britain Education Centre) berkolaborasi menyelenggarakan Workshop Proposal Riset S3 pada hari Jum’at, 20 Mei 2022. Workshop berlangsung selama 3 jam dari pukul 15.00 – 18.00 di Ballroom Gedung Teaching Industry Learning Centre (TILC) Sekolah Vokasi UGM, gedung yang dibangun dengan pembiayaan JICA Loan No. IP-576. Kegiatan ini salah satu usaha Sekolah Vokasi UGM untuk menguatkan sinergi dan kolaborasi baik dari skala nasional maupun internasional.

Yogyakarta (9/5) – Bertepatan dengan Hari Raya Idul Fitri 1443 H, Sekolah Vokasi UGM mengadakan kegiatan Halal Bi Halal sekaligus Syawalan keluarga besar Sekolah Vokasi UGM yang diselenggarakan di Co-working Space Lantai 1, Gedung TILC SV UGM.  Agenda syawalan  dilaksanakan secara luring dan daring yang mengundang civitas akademika SV UGM, yaitu Pimpinan, Dosen, Tendik, Mahasiswa Alumni, Perwakilan Departemen yang ada di Sekolah Vokasi  serta Dharma Wanita. Selain dalam rangka silaturahmi, agenda syawalan ini juga dimeriahkan dengan ucapan hari raya idul fitri dari masing-masing Departemen serta penghargaan alumni berprestasi dalam bidang kewirausahaan. Pada acara tersebut juga dibacakannya Ikrar Syawalan oleh Dr. Lilik Dwi Setyana, S.T., M.T. selaku perwakilan dosen dan bapak Bapak Sugiyatno selaku perwakilan tenaga kependidikan. 

Yogyakarta (27/04) – Program Studi Sarjana Terapan Akuntansi Sektor Publik Sekolah Vokasi UGM baru saja melaksanakan penyerahan penghargaan sertifikasi kompetensi yaitu sertifikasi bidang akuntansi pemerintah. Penyerahan tersebut dilaksanakan secara Offline dan dihadiri oleh beberapa tamu penting.

Tahun 2021 adalah tahun kedua program studi ini berdiri dan akan menghasilkan lulusan dari jenjang alih program. Kondisi ini menuntut program studi untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang bergelar sarjana dan memiliki sertifikasi kompetensi yang diakui oleh industri.

Yogyakarta (21/04) – Bertepatan dengan Hari Kartini, 21 April 2022. Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada berkolaborasi dengan KEM KOMINFO RI menyelenggaran seminar yang dilaksanakan secara luring dan Daring. Kegiatan tersebut dilaksanakan di Ballroom Lt. 2 Sekolah Vokasi UGM. Tema seminar kali ini adalah “Bangun Budaya Sadar Bencana, Meminimalkan Risiko Bencana”, pada acara tersebut juga dilakukan diskusi mengenai berbagai macam topik terkait dengan tema Seminar. 

Yogyakarta (14/4) — Dirjen Vokasi Indonesia Bapak Wikan Sakarinto, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. hadir dalam sesi Sarasehan bersama Sekolah Vokasi UGM yang dilaksanakan secara luring di Gedung Teaching Industry Learning Center dan daring melalui zoom. Agenda dihadiri oleh Pimpinan SV UGM, Ketua Departemen, Ketua Program Studi dan Kepala Laboratorium di SV UGM. Acara sarasehan turut membahas beberapa terkait Project Based Learning serta Program Dirjen Vokasi, yang mengarahkan mahasiswa diharap dapat belajar praktik lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan belajar teori pada semester 3 sampai dengan semester 6.

Yogyakarta (12/4) — Dalam rangka mengoptimalkan potensi yang dimiliki mahasiswa, Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada berkolaborasi dengan SEAMEO TED Kamboja. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan secara daring melalui zoom meeting dan dihadiri oleh bapak Dr.-Ing. Ir. Agus Maryono selaku Dekan Sekolah Vokasi UGM, Ibu Dr. Endang Soelistiyowati, M.Pd. selaku Wakil Dekan Bidang Kerjasama dan Alumni SV UGM dan dihadiri oleh tamu penting dari SEAMEO TED, yaitu bapak Dr. Songheang Ai selaku Centre Director SEAMEO TED, bapak Khat Promsochetra selaku Deputy Director for Administration, bapak Suong Saruon selaku Manager, Public Relations and Partnerships, bapak Pho Mara selaku Manager, Training and Development, bapak Tim Vorn selaku Manager, Research and Development.
