Yogyakarta, August 9, 2024 – The Department of Electrical and Information Engineering, Vocational School, Universitas Gadjah Mada (DTEDI SV UGM) enthusiastically commenced its Lustrum III and 15th Anniversary celebrations with a Walkathon on Friday morning.
The event, which began at 7:00 AM, started from the courtyard of the Herman Yohannes Sekip Unit III Building and was opened with a warm welcome from the Head of the Department, Ir. Nur Rohman Rosyid, S.T., M.T., D.Eng. In his remarks, he not only expressed gratitude for the participation of all department members but also emphasized the importance of community and collaboration in achieving sustainable development goals, particularly in the field of education.
The Walkathon aimed not only to strengthen bonds and camaraderie but also to promote the importance of health and well-being, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The chosen route took participants through the scenic beauty surrounding the campus, providing opportunities for social interaction and reflection on the role of education in creating a sustainable future. The department is committed to instilling values of environmental awareness and social responsibility in its students, preparing them to be future leaders capable of addressing global challenges.
The event concluded with a shared breakfast, further fostering a sense of togetherness. This Walkathon symbolizes the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering’s commitment to continuous progress, realizing quality and sustainable education.
