Bantul, September 21, 2024—The Community Service Team of the Tour & Travel Business Study Program (PPM BPW Team) of the Vocational School of Gadjah Mada University held an Event Fundraising Training in Kadisoro Tourism Village. Twenty participants attended the training, including administrators, members, and partners of Kadisoro Tourism Village.
This activity addresses the community’s need to improve management skills, especially regarding funding. The training materials include fundraising strategies, budget management, and implementation of cooperation with external parties to support the sustainability of cultural events in the tourism village. This training is expected to help Kadisoro Tourism Village develop the ability to manage cultural events independently while increasing its economic value. With good funding, the branding of the tourism village will be more vital.
This activity is part of the UGM PPM BPW Team’s commitment to increasing the human resources capacity in Kadisoro Tourism Village. By more structured management of economic potential based on cultural tourism, the local community’s welfare and the tourism village’s image can be strengthened.
In the future, Kadisoro Tourism Village is expected to be able to utilize these skills to organize events that not only attract tourists but also have a positive impact on the village economy.
