UGM & MASKI Strengthen the Competence of Licensed Surveyors through Workshops & Collaboration

Yogyakarta, (25/2) – Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada University (SV UGM) collaborated with the Indonesian Association of Cadastral Surveyors (MASKI) and the Office of Licensed Surveyors (KJSB) to host the event “Collaboration Ceremony & Workshop on the Development of Licensed Surveyors in the DIY Region” at the Ballroom on the 2nd floor of the Teaching Industry Learning Center (TILC) building at SV UGM. The event was attended by the Dean of the Sekolah Vokasi UGM, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ir. Agus Maryono, IPM, ASEAN Eng., the Chairman of MASKI, Ir. Loedi Ratrianto, S.T., and the Head of the Regional Office of the National Land Agency (BPN) of DIY Province, Dony Erwan Brilianto, S.T., M.M.

This program aims to strengthen the surveying and cadastral sector in Indonesia through collaboration between academia, professional associations, and industry. SV UGM, MASKI, and KJSB are committed to enhancing the competencies of licensed surveyors to support accurate and sustainable development.

“Once again, we express our gratitude for the collaboration. May what we are doing here become a milestone in the development of surveying and mapping in Indonesia,” said the Dean of Sekolah Vokasi UGM, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ir. Agus Maryono, IPM, ASEAN Eng., in his opening remarks.

The Chairman of MASKI, Ir. Loedi Ratrianto, S.T., also stated in his opening remarks, “Thank you to the organizing committee for successfully realizing this event, as well as all parties who have supported and contributed to KJSB in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.” Meanwhile, the Head of the Regional Office of the National Land Agency (BPN) for the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Dony Erwan Brilianto, S.T., M.M., also provided guidance on the role of surveyors in supporting the national land program.

As a token of appreciation for MASKI’s contributions, Dony Erwan presented a souvenir to Ir. Loedi Ratrianto. The signing of a cooperation agreement between SV UGM, MASKI, and KJSB marks an important step in strengthening the professionalism of licensed surveyors, encompassing training, workshops, and the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

Workshops and training for licensed surveyors are the main focus of this event. The workshop was designed to provide specialized training and support MASKI in developing cadastral surveyors to enhance their professional competencies.

The workshop materials were presented by experts in their respective fields. Ir. Loedi Ratrianto, S.T., Chairman of MASKI, delivered a presentation on “Professional Development for Licensed Surveyors,” emphasizing the importance of professionalism and work standards for surveyors. Ir. Ruli Andaru, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D., Lecturer in Geodesy Engineering at UGM, presented on “Design and Development of a 3D Cadastral Digital Twin Prototype,” offering insights into the use of digital technology in surveying and mapping. Meanwhile, Dr. Tjahjo Arianto, S.H., M.Hum., Lecturer at STPN, presented a session titled “Legal Protection for Surveyors and KJSB,” discussing legal aspects and protection for surveyors in performing their duties.

The event concluded with a group photo session as a symbol of commitment to supporting the advancement of surveying and cadastre in Indonesia. This activity is expected to strengthen collaboration between academics, practitioners, and stakeholders in improving the quality of surveyors, preparing them to face industry challenges, and contributing to national development based on more accurate and reliable spatial data.
