Yogyakarta, April 2025 — The International Talent Circulation Base (INTACT Base), an initiative of Taiwan’s Ministry of Education that bridges industry-academic collaboration and higher education exchange, is offering a golden opportunity for students of Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada (SV UGM) to deepen their Mandarin language skills for free. This program is specifically designed for students participating in various international activities in Taiwan, such as Student Exchange, Internship, Double Degree programs, and particularly the International Industrial Talents Education Special Program (INTENSE Program). However, the program is also open to students interested in learning Mandarin, even if they are not currently or planning to participate in international activities in Taiwan.

Registration for the Mandarin language classes is open from March 4 to March 17, 2025. The learning period will begin on April 10, 2025, and will be held every Thursday and Friday from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM WIB until July. The Mandarin language class is taught by instructors from YUSHAN Mandarin, a free Mandarin language learning platform provided by INTACT Base, allowing participants to learn Mandarin anytime and anywhere.
This program is part of INTACT Base’s support in preparing students to face global challenges, particularly in bridging language and cultural needs when participating in international programs in Taiwan. The class is open to all Sekolah Vokasi students of UGM who plan to participate in international activities, especially through the INTENSE Dual Degree Program.
The first week’s training sessions were conducted in a hybrid format on Thursday and Friday, April 10 and 11, 2025, in Room 210 of the Teaching Industry Learning Center Building at Sekolah Vokasi UGM, and via a Google Meet link. The session was attended by 5 participants who were present in person, accompanied by Sekolah Vokasi UGM lecturer, Frida Anis Handayani, B.Ed., M.TCSOL., and 30 participants who attended online.
