The training was held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Meeting Room 3, 2nd Floor, East Wing, UGM Central Administration Office, and attended by representatives from various UGM units, including the Vocational College.

The session featured Dr. Ir. Donny Yoesgiantoro, M.M., M.P.A., Chairman of the Central Information Commission (KIP) of the Republic of Indonesia, as the keynote speaker. He provided in-depth insights on managing and governing public information within higher education institutions.

In his presentation, Dr. Donny emphasized the importance of handling public information requests with precision:

“When there is a request for information, we must first ask: what is the purpose of this information? Not everything should be disclosed if it’s not relevant, because we must maintain a balance between the supply and demand of information,” he explained.

He also reminded participants that the growing demand for public information requires PPID officers to apply effective filtering mechanisms so that transparency aligns with the protection of strategic data.

The participation of UGM Vocational College in this training reflects its dedication to strengthening accountable and professional public information services in compliance with existing regulations. The forum also served as a platform to enhance collaboration between UGM units and PPID, fostering more effective and integrated information governance.

Through this training, all UGM work units, including the Vocational College, are expected to implement responsible transparency practices, reinforcing the university’s image as a trustworthy and transparent higher education institution, and building stronger public trust through quality information services.
