JPT is a multidisciplinary journal dedicated to the publication in tourism research, focusing on the application of tourism science in the Indonesian tourism industry. JPT maintains its contribution to scholarships in tourism science in Indonesia. JPT invites and encourages offerings from various disciplines to contribute to tourism science literature. JPT invites manuscripts in three main topics but not limited to (1) Hospitality: Any researches focus on the hospitality industry, including marketing management in the hospitality industry, the culinary sector, quality assurance, and related topics in the hospitality industry. (2) Tourism Business: E-business in tourism, innovation in the tourism business, tour and travel business, halal tourism practices in the tourism business, and other related topics in the tourism business. (3) Destination Development: each research focuses on destination development, including destination marketing, tourist behavior, travel patterns, and topics related to destination development.
JPT’s emphasis varies, including case studies of the tourism industry, analysis and dissemination of information on tourism practices in the Indonesian tourism industry, accurate observations of tourism practices and tourism development in Indonesia, critical thinking about Indonesian tourism practices, forging interdisciplinary work, and issues latest in Tourism in Indonesia. JPT encourages innovative methodologies and different perspectives in applying tourism science to a broader view in the field of tourism and contributes to the development of tourism science in Indonesia.
