One of the exhibited tools is automatic body height measurement made by Mario Elfan Niko Rahutama and friends from batch 2014. This handy tool works by placing it on head then it will calculate the height by using ultra-sonic sensor and record it on the display.

Mario explained that student works displayed came from the projects of ELINS Workshop attended by 3rd semester students of Electronics and Instrumentation.

“In the beginning, these works are made for laboratory project but after knowing that they would be displayed in an exhibition, we were very excited. Many visitors would come and see our works, “ Mario said.

On the other side, Saka Gilap known as Asha, a lecturer handling ELINS Workshop and an initiator of this event, said that the purpose of this event is to show the potentials of Electronics and Instrumentation students in designing and developing useful electronic tools.

“Through this event, we expect that students and lecturers from other study programs could acknowledge and appreciate the potentials possessed by ELINS Students. In the future, our students are very ready to collaborate with other students for PKM (Students Creativity Program), “ Asha said.

Asha also explained that on February 2016, there would be bigger exhibition event to accommodate broader participants. It will display not only students works from ELINS but also other study programs in Vocational College, UGM.
