The Department of Language, Arts, and Cultural Management of the UGM Vocational College held a closing ceremony for the participants of the “Summer Course 2023” on Friday (14/07). Taking place at the DBSMB field, this activity is attended by Dr. Endang Soelistiyowati, S.Pd., M.Pd. as Deputy Dean for Cooperation and Alumni, Dr. Nuryuda Irdana, S.P., M.M. as Head of the Department of Language Arts and Culture Management, Ummul Hasanah, S.S., M.A. as Chair of the Summer Course 2023 Committee, lecturers from DBSMB, and participants of the Summer Course 2023 consisting of 6 DBSMB students and 6 participants from abroad namely Yuna Ichimata (Tsuda University, Tokyo, Japan), Christina Vinson (UK, The British International School, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia), Xiaohui Wang (Chengdu Textile College, China), Hongjing Chen (Chengdu Textile College, China), Guo Shenglin (Chengdu Textile College, China), and Linden Li (Lecturer in Chengdu Textile College, China).
The series of activities at the closing of the Summer Course 2023 began with several remarks from the Deputy Dean for Cooperation and Alumni, Head of the Language Arts and Culture Management Department, and the Chair of the Summer Course 2023 Committee.
Dr. Endang Soelistiyowati, S.Pd., M.Pd. as the Deputy Dean for Cooperation and Alumni, in her remarks expressed her gratitude to all the Summer Course 2023 committee, the head and secretary of DBSMB, and everyone involved in this program. She also hoped that the activity which lasts for approximately 2 weeks can make us appreciate culture more, understand each other, and strengthen relations with countries that cooperate with Vocational College UGM such as Japan, China, England, and others, especially in collaborating.
After the remarks, this activity was continued with the playback of the summer course 2023 summary video and gamelan performances from the participants and Gasita. The series of activities went well and closed with the handing over of certificates and souvenirs to 6 overseas participants by Dr. Nuryuda Irdana, S.P., M.M. as Head of the Department of Language Arts and Cultural Management. The activity ended with a group photo session.
