Study programs at the Vocational College UGM which are offered to foreign students participating in non-degree activities are quite a lot, such as:
1. English Language Study Program
Applying competency-based curriculum which are basic, specific, applicable, flexible, and professional in teaching and learning activities, English Language Study Program offers a learning process that able to accommodate real work practices to compete in various fields, such as media, tourism, language teaching, public relations, and business administration. Working Experiences with many overseas partners, English Language Study Program promises huge opportunities for students to see the wider world. Students are expected to be good in communicating both spoken and written.
2. Japanese Language Study Program
Established since 1999, Japanese Language Study Program holds Japanese Language education which have quality and supported by great facilities that makes student could be focus to learn and understand the materials. Many international collaborations such as internship, student exchange and summer course make this study program have added value.
3. Korean Language Study Program
Develop the collaboration with foreign partners is one of the visions of this study program. That thing implemented by many international partnership programs with universities/institutions in South Korea such as Student and Lecturer Exchange Program, Summer Course, Top-up degree, Internship and International Fellowship. The implementation of these programs is supported by good learning system and adequate facilities make the graduates are very competent in their fields and able to compete in the global work competition, many graduates accepted in the famous company/institution both in Indonesia and South Korea.
4. Tourism Study Program
Becoming a tourism institution that has international standard is one of the missions of the Tourism Diploma program, which was established in 1994. The large number of collaborations with overseas partners strongly supports this study program to produce graduates who have the ability for public speaking, leadership, team work, and have an international perspective.
1. Management Study Program
Belonging two concentrations of curriculums, those are Finance Concentration Curriculum and Banking Concentration Curriculum become one of the weapons of this major, Experienced in holding many international programs such as Student Exchange Program, Lecturer Exchange Program, etc. makes an added value to this program.
1. Mechanical Engineering Department
Many collaborations with foreign partners that have been carried out with the Student Exchange Program and Lecturer Exchange Exchange Program become some evidence that this Diploma in Mechanical Engineering directs all the members of the department to be global minded and insightful. Providing learning 40% theory and 60% practice and supported by good facilities is very supportive of teaching and learning programs in this study program.
2. Heavy Equipment Management and Maintenance Engineering
Being an institution of higher education in Heavy Equipment Management and Maintenance Engineering that is excellent, has high integrity, cultured, and is based on Pancasila to make a real contribution to society, national and international industry is the Vision of this study program. Student Exchange, Summer Course, etc. with Partners from Japan and China are some of the collaborations organized by this study program. Producing graduates that good, qualified in the management and maintenance of heavy equipment, strengthening networking with Industry is the aim of this study program.
1. Electrical Technology Study Program
Implementing professional higher education (Vocational) in accordance with the demands of change in the world of work, conducting applied research in the field of electrical engineering, as well as community service are the purposes of this study program. Understanding of knowledge, attitudes and practical skills are aspects that are covered by the Electrical Technology Study Program. In collaboration with a number of Polytechnic in Japan and several universities in China, this study program has a very international perspective.
2. Instrumentation Technology
Computer-based instrumentation, electronic systems in general, including system software and its application in the field of instrumentation, control and communication are some of the competencies offered by this study program. In international affairs, many international activities have been attended by students of this study program as a form of implementation of cooperation with foreign partners such as the Student Exchange Program, Fellowship, etc.
1. Civil Engineering Study Program
Collaborating with some universities in China, Japan, etc. by holding some programs such as Student and Lecturer Exchange, International Internship, Summer Course make this study program is very globally perspective. In addition, supported by very good lab facilities makes one of the added values of this study program. The number of graduates who are competent and work in top companies in Indonesia is one proof of the excellence of this Civil Engineering Diploma.
