Yogyakarta (29/10) – Around 3,126 students who are the members of 735 teams from universities throughout Indonesia, including from Vocational College UGM have competed in the 34th National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) at the University of North Sumatra (USU) which held on a hybrid (online and offline) on 27-28 October 2021.
PIMNAS is a competition to find outstanding students with scientific innovations. In addition, PIMNAS is one of the agendas of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology under an institution called the National Achievement Centre (Puspresnas).
6 teams from Vocational College have presented their work in the PIMNAS event. Those 6 teams are, 1) Kayoselba Kusnanto for PKM-K, with the title of his work “Lilin Aroma Nusantara as Aromatherapy and Innovation for the Introduction of Indonesian Culinary Wealth, 2) Khofifah Nur Meirawanti for PKM-PM, with the title of his work “Friends of Learning Program through Smart Pop-Up Book Based on Interactive Games Equipped with Barcodes for Optimizing Learning Strategies for Dyslexic Children, 3) Qurrota A’yun in the Field of PKM-KC, with the title of his work “COVATECH Designing Artificial Intelligence Technology as a Form of Prevention of Covid-19 Based on the Internet of Things, 4) Naufal Rashad Aryaputra for PKM-KI, 5) Tsamara Nabilah Salsabili for PKM-KI, with the title of his work “Smart Leveling: Practical Device for Detecting Tilt of Ceramic Floor Surfaces Based on Inertial Measurement Unit Sensors with Mecanum-driven Technology”, and 6) Catur Wardana from PKM-PI, with the title of his work “Innovation of Batik Fabric Dryer to Improve Product Efficiency as an Anticipation of Unpredictable Determinants Weather”.
This is the fourth consecutive year that UGM maintains the PIMNAS General Champion continuously. The SV and UGM contingents are encouraged to improve and maintain their achievements and this result is the hard work of the entire campus members to advance and innovate things.
