Bantul, April 7, 2026 — Students of the Applied Bachelor Program in Surveying and Mapping Technology, Sekolah Vokasi, Universitas Gadjah Mada, conducted Terrestrial Laser Scanner (TLS) and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) data acquisition as part of their research activities. The activity took place on April 6–7, 2026, at Palbapang Station, Bantul.

Enhancing Basic Mapping Competencies, SV UGM Applied Undergraduate Program Conducts GNSS Data Processing Practicum

The GNSS practicum was a mandatory academic activity for students of the Applied Bachelor Program in Surveying and Mapping Technology Universitas Gadjah Mada Vocational College (SV UGM). Conducted within the UGM campus on March 4, 5, and 12, 2026, the practicum aimed to provide students with hands-on experience in GNSS operation, data acquisition, and data processing using static, RTK NTRIP, and PPK methods with Trimble R8s equipment. The practicum involved 61 students and was supervised by the course lecturer as part of practice-based learning.

Enhancing Digital Construction Competency, CoE Smart & Green Building Sekolah Vokasi UGM Holds BIM Road Infrastructure Training

The Center of Excellence (CoE) Smart & Green Building Information at Universitas Gadjah Mada  Sekolah Vokasi UGM successfully organized a Building Information Modeling (BIM) training on road infrastructure on January 27 and 29, 2026. The activity was held in Room 504 of the Teaching Industry Learning Center (TILC) Building,  Sekolah Vokasi UGM. The training was attended by five participants from various groups within the  Sekolah Vokasi UGM, including students, academic staff, and lecturers from the Department of Earth Technology and the Department of Civil Engineering. The program aimed to enhance participants’ understanding and skills in applying BIM technology for road infrastructure planning and modeling.

Follow-Up Visit of NUAA Vice-President Reinforces the Role of UGM’s International Joint Laboratory in Global Research Collaborative

Yogyakarta — Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) welcomed a follow-up visit from the delegation of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), China, continuing the strategic engagement initiated during the previous official visit. The visit specifically focused on strengthening the International Joint Laboratory on Digi-Medical Engineering and Integrated Measurement Systems, which has been officially established since 2024 as a multinational research hub.

Liuzhou, China, September 18, 2025 – The Dean of Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ir. Agus Maryono, IPM., ASEAN Eng., conducted a working visit to Liuzhou, China, from September 14–18, 2025. Building Innovation from Vocational Education, Eight PKM 2025 Teams from SV UGM Qualify for Funding

Yogyakarta, August 22, 2025Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada (SV UGM) has once again achieved a proud national accomplishment through the success of eight student teams that secured funding in the 2025 Student Creativity Program (PKM). Out of 56 funded teams from UGM this year, eight came from SV UGM.

The eight teams represented various PKM categories, including:

  • 1 team in PKM-Constructive Idea Video (VGK)

  • 1 team in PKM-Creative Invention (KC)

  • 2 teams in PKM-Entrepreneurship (K)

  • 1 team in PKM-Innovative Work (KI)

  • 3 teams in PKM-Science and Technology Application (PI)

By department, three teams are from the Department of Electrical and Informatics Engineering (DTEDI), two from the Department of Economics and Business (DEB), two from the Department of Mechanical Engineering (DTM), and one from the Department of Biological and Veterinary Technology (DTHV).

The Student Creativity Program (PKM), organized by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, aims to foster innovation and creativity among university students across Indonesia. In 2025, PKM consists of ten categories focusing on idea development, entrepreneurship, community service, research, and technological innovation. The program supports ten national development priorities, including food security, health, MSME empowerment, environmental sustainability, and education enhancement.

The funded teams will implement their projects from August to October 2025, followed by the reporting and selection stages for the National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) at the end of the year.

This achievement demonstrates Sekolah Vokasi UGM’s strong commitment to nurturing students in producing creative, applied-science-based works that deliver real impact to society.
