Yogyakarta, 9 September 2025 – Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada (SV UGM), through its English Study Program, served as the co-host of the 4th International Conference of Research on Language (IRoLe) 2025. The international conference was held on 8–10 September 2025 at the Teaching Industry Learning Center (TILC) of SV UGM, carrying the theme “The Roles of Multilingualism and Multiculturalism in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals across the Archipelago.”

Yogyakarta, August 22, 2025 — Three students from the 2023 batch English Study Program, Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada (SV UGM), namely Irfan Rahadian Adriyanto, Nasywa Hana Ariella, and Dhimas Naufal Ramadhani, were selected as representatives of UGM and Indonesia in the international forum “International Youth Talk”. This event is organized by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Center for Technical Education Development (SEAMEO TED), with support from the China-ASEAN Technical and Vocational Education Cooperation Platform (CATECP), International Youth Culture and Education (KEMG), and Go Study.
Yogyakarta, August 22, 2025 – Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada (SV UGM) held a public lecture entitled “Writing for High Impact Publication” on Friday (8/22) at the Teaching Industry Learning Center (TILC) SV UGM. This activity aims to improve students’ academic and research writing skills, while also equipping them with insights into reputable international scientific publications.
Yogyakarta, August 22, 2025 – Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada (SV UGM) has once again achieved a proud national accomplishment through the success of eight student teams that secured funding in the 2025 Student Creativity Program (PKM). Out of 56 funded teams from UGM this year, eight came from SV UGM.

The eight teams represented various PKM categories, including:

3 teams in PKM-Science and Technology Application (PI)
By department, three teams are from the Department of Electrical and Informatics Engineering (DTEDI), two from the Department of Economics and Business (DEB), two from the Department of Mechanical Engineering (DTM), and one from the Department of Biological and Veterinary Technology (DTHV).
The Student Creativity Program (PKM), organized by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, aims to foster innovation and creativity among university students across Indonesia. In 2025, PKM consists of ten categories focusing on idea development, entrepreneurship, community service, research, and technological innovation. The program supports ten national development priorities, including food security, health, MSME empowerment, environmental sustainability, and education enhancement.
The funded teams will implement their projects from August to October 2025, followed by the reporting and selection stages for the National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) at the end of the year.
This achievement demonstrates Sekolah Vokasi UGM’s strong commitment to nurturing students in producing creative, applied-science-based works that deliver real impact to society.
Yogyakarta, August 20, 2025 – Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada held an international public lecture entitled “AI-Pedagogy in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)”. The event took place at the Teaching Industry Learning Center (TILC) SV UGM and online via Zoom Meeting, attended by lecturers and teachers from various educational institutions in Indonesia.
Yogyakarta, August 19, 2025 – Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) collaborated with Yogyakarta State University (UNY) to hold a book review event for River Restoration by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Agus Maryono, IPM., ASEAN Eng. The event, which took place at the UGM Center for Environmental Studies Building, 4th Floor, Room 407C, was attended by academics, students from both universities, and river conservation communities from the Special Region of Yogyakarta and surrounding areas.
Yogyakarta, August 19, 2025 – The Applied Forest Management Undergraduate Program, Department of Biological and Veterinary Technology, Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada held its inaugural lecture for the 2025/2026 Academic Year with the theme UGM Vocational School Foresters: Ready to Work, Ready to Make a Real Difference for Indonesia’s Forests. The event, which took place at the Teaching Industry Learning Center (TILC) SV UGM, was attended by students, lecturers, industry partners, and related parties from the forestry sector.
Yogyakarta, August 14, 2025 – Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada (SV UGM) held an internal discussion on “Requirements for Homebase Lecturers and Lecturer Promotion” in the Ballroom on the 2nd floor of the Teaching Industry Learning Center (TILC) Building. The event was attended by the Vice Rector for Education and Teaching at UGM, Prof. Dr. Wening Udasmoro, S.S., M.Hum., DEA., Director of Human Resources at UGM, Prof. Suadi, M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D., and all SV UGM lecturers.
Yogyakarta, August 7, 2025 – Sekolah Vokasi (School of Applied Sciences) Universitas Gadjah Mada received an official visit from Poltekkes Kemenkes Makassar as part of a Study Tour held in Room R201, 2nd Floor of the Teaching Industry Learning Center (TILC) Building. This activity aims to strengthen relationships between vocational colleges in Indonesia and to exchange knowledge, experiences, and best practices in vocational education management.
Yogyakarta, July 30, 2025 – Sekolah Vokasi Gadjah Mada University (SV UGM) held the 2025 SV UGM Public Relations Capacity Building Workshop as a way to strengthen the role of public relations in facing communication challenges in the digital age. Held in Room 204, 2nd Floor, Teaching Industry Learning Center (TILC) Building, this activity involved public relations leaders and managers from departments and study programs within SV UGM, as well as staff from the UGM central office.
